National Night Out
NNO

National Night Out, an annual, nationwide Neighborhood Watch campaign, is held in early October (Texas only). This program promotes involvement in local crime and drug prevention activities, strengthens police-community partnerships, and encourages neighborhood camaraderie as part of our national efforts to let criminals know that not only America and the State of Texas are united, but the City of Parker is also dedicated in building a safer and more caring community within our country. Along with the traditional “lights on” and front porch vigils, cities and towns across America celebrate NNO with a variety of events and activities such as: block parties, cookouts, parades, flashlight walks, visits from local police, and safety demonstrations.

Parker PD Thanks Citizens for 2016 National Night Out Participation

The members of the Parker Police Department wish to thank the citizens of Parker who participated in this year's National Night Out.

"We enjoyed visiting with the citizens at the various block parties. It is very encouraging to see our citizens taking a stand against crime and criminals. National Night Out is intended to strengthen neighborhood spirit, improve police-community partnerships, heighten crime and drug prevention awareness and unite our community against crime and drugs", said Chief Richard Brooks. "This partnership is critical to continuing to make Parker a safe place to live, work and visit."

Chief Brooks also encouraged all neighborhoods in Parker to begin planning for next year's National Night Out event and remain involved in making our City safe.
